Zusammenfassung:
Die prothetische Komplikationsrate von rein implantatgetragenem und kombiniert Zahn-implantatgetragenem Zahnersatz bei 112 Patienten mit verkürzter Zahnreihe wurde analysiert. Das Beobachtungsintervall betrug 1 bis 7 Jahre. Die häufigste Komplikation war die Lösung der Schraubverbindung zwischen Implantat und Suprastruktur. Von insgesamt 124 prothetischen Konstruktionen mußten 5 im Beobachtungsintervall erneuert werden. Unterschiede im klinischen Erfolg der untersuchten prothetischen Behandlungsarten wurden nicht gefunden. Mit Implantaten verbundene Pfeilerzähne mußten in 4 Fällen endodontisch behandelt werden. Die Anwendung von kombiniert Zahn-implantatgetragenem Zahnersatz kann als klinisch zuverlässige Alternative zur aufwendigeren rein implantatgetragenen Konstruktion betrachtet werden.

Summary:
The aim of the study was to analyze the complication rate of completely implant-supported prostheses and combined implant and tooth-supported prostheses in 112 partially edentulous patients. The cases were followed for 1 to 7 years. The most common complication observed was loosening of abutment screws. Of 124 prostheses 5 needed complete refabrication. No differences in the success of lone standing implant segments and implant-tooth-supported prostheses could be found. Teeth splinted to implants showed 4 endodontic complications. Prosthetic splinting of teeth to implants may be regarded as a clinically reliable alternative to the more costly and complicated treatment modality of purely implant-supported replacement.
