Entwicklung des Implantatregisters*

Zusammenfassung:
Die 17384 identifizierbaren dokumentierten Implantatpfosten sind zu 62% Metall-Pfeiler-Implan-tate, zu 16% Metall-Schrauben, zu 10% Metall-Blatt-/Anker-/Extensions-Implantate und zu 8% Keramik-Pfeiler-Implantate. Bei den Indikationen dominieren die zahnlosen Kiefer (42%) und verkürzten Zahnreihen (32%). Gegenüber früheren Auswertungen kann das Verlustrisiko sowohl prä-als auch postprothetisch wesentlich genauer geschätzt werden: Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, daß ein Implantat 5 Jahre postprothetisch ohne Verlust in situ bleibt, liegt zwischen 81,4 und 89,1%.
Summary:
Among the 17384 implant posts identified and documented in the register, 62% are metallic abutment implants, 16% are metallic screw implants, 10% metallic blade-vent/anchor/extension implants an 8% ceramic abutment implants. The predominant indications for implant treatment were edentulous jaws (42%) and Kennedy class II (32%). Compared with previous evaluations it has now become possible to estimate the risk of implant loss with considerably greater accuracy both before and after prosthodon-tic treatment: the probability for an implant to remain in place (no implant loss) for 5 years after prosth-odontic treatment ranges between 81.4 and 89-1%.
