Zusammenfassung:
Die Sinuslift-Operation stellt ein inzwischen etabliertes Verfahren dar, implantatgestützten Zahn-ersatz bei hochgradiger Alveolarkammatrophie im Oberkieferseitenzabnbereich zu ermöglichen. Eine intakte Belüftung der Kieferhöhle sowie reizlose Sinusschleimhaut sind Voraussetzung für die Durchführung und bestimmen die Prognose dieser Operationstechnik. Präoperative Diagnostik allein durch ein Orthopantomogramm sowie anamnestische Erhebungen können keine ausreichenden Hinweise auf pathologische Befunde ergeben. Die transantra-Ie Sinuskopie wird als minimalinvasives diagnostisches Verfahren zur präoperativen Abklärung des Sinus maxillaris vorgestellt. Beispiele für eine Kontrollsinuskopie als postoperative Befundkontrolle im Rahmen der Qualitätssicherung werden dargestellt

Summary:
In the past few years the sinus lift procedure has become an established method in oral surgery. In patients with extreme atrophy of the posterior maxillary ridge who have functional problems with conventional partial or full dentures this procedure offers a promising alternative, as it allows such patients to be provided with implant-supported overdentures or bone-anchored bridges. Preopera-tively the maxillary sinus has to be checked for pathological findings and, if possible, treated. Involving a minimum of trauma, sinuscopy has been discussed as a preoperative diagnostic tool and a method for the postoperative inspection of dissection and elevation of the sinus floor. Video-endo-scopic images of the maxillary sinus are presented to demonstrate the high diagnostic value of this method when used in addition to or instead of radiographic methods such as CT scans.
