Periimplantäre Diagnostik mit der Hochfrequenz-Sonographie

Zusammenfassung:
Während die A-Scan-Sonograpbie in der Kieferhöhlendiagnostik und in der präimplantologischen Diagnostik zur Schleimhautdickenmessung bereits genutzt wird, scheitert der Einsatz von B-Scan-Geräten bislang an den Schallkopfdimensionen. Mit einem neuen Microtip-Transducer sind dieperi-implantären Weichgewebe und Knochenkonturen deutlich besser darstellbar und bieten eine gute Ergänzung zur Röntgendiagnostik.
Summary:
While A-scan-sonography is useful in the diagnostic evaluation of the maxillary sinus ancl for pretreat-ment measurements of soft-tissue thickness, the use of B-scan Systems is limited by the unsuitable dimensions of the transducer. A new microtip transducer with special equipment allows easier assessment of the soft tissues and bone morphology around implants and provide additional Information to conventional x-rays.
